| Start exercising as soon as you can after delivery | |
| The sooner you start your postnatal exercises, the quicker you will return to your pre-egnancy shape | |
| If you exercise religiously, you may come back to your original shape in three months time | |
| Pelvic floor exercises are the most important exercises as your pelvic floor needs to be strengthened considerably | |
| It may take a while before you can resume your normal exercises (like aerobics etc). If you have stitches or have had a caesarean, you may be told to wait for 12 weeks after delivery before resuming a vigorous exercise regime |
